ROADKILL - "PYRAMID" (INDEPENDENT)
Roadkill is a new and most promising band on the Dutch heavy metal firmament. Combining catchy songwriting with Maiden-like guitar harmonies and a general good level of instrument handling, they grab your attention and won't let go until the end of the album.
"Pyramid" contains three tracks - "Pyramid", "Human Season" and "Rapin' Justice". The first two are pretty good tracks, the final one is beyond just that. There's good drumming throughout the album, and the whole thing is capably produced (especially if you know the tracks were recorded in a mere one day). The vocals could have been more powerful, but other than that there isn't much to be dissatisfied with on this offering.
