SPELLCRAFT - "TEARS LIKE RAIN"
Spellcraft are an Italian band formed in 1997, which released a demo CD ("Faded", 2000) and, now, a 5-track demo CD entitled "Tears Like Rain". The band combine a certain degree of heavy power with a lot of melody, with dark/gothic overtones. The impression of the CD as a whole is that is contains musically pleasing, melodic tracks. A nice CD to have playing when the rain is running down the windows, it's cold outside and you're alone, inside, letting the world pass you by. The one slight weakness is that the English language vocals are at times noticeably accented. But, hey, that's splitting hairs.
