CHINCHILLA - "THE LAST MILLENIUM" (METAL BLADE)

"The Last Millenium" is an album with a wrongly spelled title featuring 80's style power metal. However, it lacks the power to keep your interested after the fourth track or so. There's an occasional little gem of a guitar solo, but the rhythm guitar and drums kindof lull you to sleep. You awake from your Chinchilla-induced stupor to hear that "After the War" and "They Are Liars" are actually quite good and that the Thin Lizzy cover "The Boys are Back in Town" has rather too much synth presence, and that's about it.
